The men we represent reflect me and my life to the fullest. I am an EX-offender and have had many doors slammed closed due to my criminal background. I was a gang member for many years and did some things I am not proud of. To some people, I will always be associated with the man I once was, yet my past does not define who I am and it will absolutely not define my future. 

I have spent years of my life incarcerated for one thing or another. Now, life has taught me to do things the right way, not my way. I am committed to living the rest of my life serving CHRIST in actions, words, and deeds. He has blessed me with an amazing family my wife Marisa, my sons Joshua and David Jr. and my little girl, Kayla, who is due to arrive in May. I had to provide for my family and going back to my old ways was not an option. Not many employers gave me an opportunity to do that. Now, because I know better, I do better. When I was released, I worked minimum wage jobs because it was the only work I could find. I was fortunate enough to have someone give me a SECOND CHANCE. An old friend I knew was in the Carpenters   Union and in 2006 I was given the opportunity to join the Carpenters union myself. By the grace of God, I was able to hold a     good paying job. Now, I am a licensed General Contractor with over 25 years of construction experience in both residential and commercial construction. In 2014, my family and I were faced with some challenges and in the midst of adversity, I was given a vision and a mission to start Second Chance Renovations L.L.C. as a bridge for people just like me....     People who are ready for change.

Unfortunately, not many of us will find employers who are willing to take a chance on us. We want to do better, but who will take a chance on us? The road hasn't been easy, but it is the road we felons must travel. We are looking for a community of people who believe in REDEMPTION and SECOND CHANCES, to help sustain this mission and make a new life, a new direction, a NEW CREATION possible for a group of people who are ready for a change in their lives, in the lives of their families and their communities. We know we have made bad decisions along the way that have contributed to our misfortunes. We are ready to right our wrongs. Will you join us in making our vision a reality.
